EAST LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan State University will pay a former Police and Public Safety Department employee $25,000 to settle her federal civil rights lawsuit.
Crystal Perry filed the lawsuit after she was fired while working as a human resources administrator, saying it was in retaliation for her filing complaints of racial and sexual discrimination and retaliation.
MSU spokesman Mark Bullion tells the Lansing State Journal the settlement was agreed to last month and Perry agreed to dismiss the lawsuit and not file another against MSU. She is also banned from ever working for the university again.
